Treatment Guide

  • Before Treatment:

    Avoid consuming alcoholic beverages the night before your date.

    Avoid aspirin and anti-inflammatory drugs (such as Advil, Motrin, Aleve) for 1 week before treatment to reduce bruising.

  • After Treatment

    Gently apply arnica gel to the treated area 30 minutes after your session to help reduce bruising. You may take acetaminophen, but avoid ibuprofen (Advil) and other blood thinners.

    Avoid facials for at least 1 week to prevent filler migration.

    Do not lie on your face, including the sides, for 4 hours after treatment.

  • Results

    You will see immediate results after the session, as the treated area is likely to swell. If the swelling is larger than expected, don't worry: it will subside in a maximum of 2 weeks, leaving you with the results you desire.

  • Frequency

    Results usually last between 6 and 18 months, depending on the area treated and your aesthetic goals.

What about...?

  • This molecule already exists naturally in our body and helps to retain water and maintain hydration and water volume. Because it is natural in our body, allergies are very rare. 

  • This can be quite variable. It depends on the specific product used, where it is applied and the metabolism of each person. Typically, the effects can last from 6 to 18 months. 

  • We recommend avoiding medications that may increase the risk of bruising, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, for one week prior to treatment. It is also advisable to stay hydrated, avoid alcohol the day before and arrive at the office with clean skin, without makeup.

  • Results are visible almost immediately after treatment. However, there may be slight swelling or bruising at the injection site, which disappears within a few days.

  • Swelling is a common skin response, although you may not even notice it. Treatment spots are usually very small, about the size of a freckle, and disappear in about 30 minutes.

    Exercise

    You can exercise before treatment without any problem. However, after treatment, avoid strenuous physical activity for approximately 24 hours.

    Alcohol

    For a quick recovery with less risk of bruising, we recommend avoiding alcohol 12 hours before your treatment and waiting at least 4 hours after treatment.
